SOP for Managing Damaged Stickers

Modified on Fri, 17 Feb 2023 at 11:57 AM

Issue: Item ID Stickers are damaged and cannot be reprinted as the feature to reprint stickers has been deprecated.

Resolution:

  1. Collect all items with damaged stickers.

  2. Assign all these items with damaged stickers to specific BIN

  3. Carry out the cycle count activity once and all the damaged item IDs will be marked as LOST. Please refer to this document for more information on Cycle Count

  4. Mark these items as permanently lost from the system. Refer to this document for more information on this step.

  5. Once these are marked as permanently lost, these item codes will thus be nullified from the system.

  6. To avoid any further hassle, we recommend you physically remove these torn/damaged item ID stickers so that they do not get accidentally scanned in the next steps.

  7. In OMS create a new inward order with the type Open_Purchase_Order. Please refer to this link for more information on Open Purchase Order

  8. Create a new gate entry for this order.

  9. While GRN of this gate entry, a new item ID gets created.

  10. The new Item ID sticker is in healthy condition and can be used from hereon.

FAQ:

Q: What can we do to reduce the frequency of damage occurring to the stickers?

Sol: We recommend the use of polyester stickers as they are more resistant to wear and tear.

Q: What do we do if our BIN stickers were damaged?

Sol: For bin, there should be no reason for reprinting bin IDs. One can create a new bin ID, scan all the items in it and bin transfer will be done.
