Excess or Less Orders on Marketplaces

Modified on Wed, 22 Jul, 2020 at 12:22 PM

Occasionally you may experiences excess or less orders in the Assure System.

Less Orders

Less orders may be experienced if Marketplace has disabled the SKU. They could disable SKU if there are too many returns on that SKU (thereby leading to a conclusion that SKUs are of bad quality).

Excess Orders

Excess orders may be experienced if inventory syncing becomes disabled on Assure side. Inventory syncing can become disabled because:

  1. Channel returned error during inventory syncing even on multiple retries. This could happen because of issues on channel side (e.g. improper cataloging etc.)
  2. There was a network failure

Workaround

There are no good technical solutions for such problems.

It is important to check for disabled SKUs on Assure system if you start seeing excess orders or less orders and then sync inventory for them. It is equally important to check for the SKU statuses on Marketplaces.

You must do this exercise has hygiene practice on a weekly basis also.
