B2B Invoicing

Amazon Direct Fulfillment model works on a B2B2C model. i.e.

  • Customer sees inventory being sold by Amazon DF entities
  • Customer places order
  • Amazon DF entity makes an invoice for Customer
  • Amazon DF entity makes a back-2-back B2B purchase of these inventories from the brand

Ideally, when such a sales is done, Amazon DF entity must raise a back-2-back PO to brand and brand must raise a back-2-back invoice to Amazon DF entity automatically (either via ERP integration or emails or some other mechanism)

However Amazon DF entity does not provide integration capabilities for the same.

The current mechanism is that

  • Amazon DF entity provides a portal to brand
  • Brands manually upload invoices to that portal

Delay in Inventory Sync

When Client syncs inventory of some Product listing from CIMS it takes some time to get reflected on the Vendor Central. There is a delay observed of ( 30 min- 1 hour ) in inventory updation from the time we receive success response of Transaction of Update inventory API.

Amazon DF entity updates the Raw inventory as soon as the Update inventory Transaction is successful but it updates the Usable inventory on Vendor central after some time ( within 30 min - 1 hour ).

Seller can check the Inventory of any Product by following steps mentioned below

  1. Login to vendor central.
  2. Go Items.
  3. Click on direct fulfilment inventory.
  4. Search using 10-digit ASIN no and check inventory.

Order Throttling Issue during generation of Shipping label

During the generation of Shipping label of any shipment Amazon DF entity has applied order throttling at their end. Seller can only generate shipping label of orders having SLA/CPT of at most 1 day.

If Seller tries to generate the Shipping Label of an order having SLA>1 day then they will receive shipping label data is coming as null.

Seller should release picklists of orders for picking by keeping the Picklist Configuration as below

  • SLA wise ( For Default Picking of next day SLA orders once picking of current day SLA orders are picked)
  • Define Channel with CPT (For Express Picking of current day SLA orders)
