The aim of this article is to help you understand common error messages you face during Marketplace order processing aka "Piece Order" processing.

Note : Channel and Marketplace is sometimes used interchangeably.



Common Marketplace Errors


Error from channel. Shipping details not available for order id : OD24264253242

You can encounter this error while trying to fetch shipping label on Piece Packing Screen ( Can also occur if you are trying to manifest an already shipped order, look for the next error on this list ). The message may vary slightly for different channels but the underlying root cause is fairly common. This happens when we have sent the request for fetching a shipment label to the marketplace but the same is not yet generated at marketplace's end. 

RESOLUTION :  Generally this gets resolved when you retry by pressing "Print Invoice and Shipping Label" button. You can also do a retry later by placing such items in a BIN. We should be able to resolve > 99% cases by doing the above. However, if this error does not go away, please create a SUPPORT Ticket.

Error from channel: Shipping details not available for Order Id 5984435510

You can also encounter this error while trying to manifest an order ( on Manifests Screen ) which is already shipped. Since marketplaces do not allow an order to be manifested if the order status has already moved to Shipped/Dispatch state. Ideally this error will not occur if you have followed the entire process of fulfilling a Marketplace order using Assure. Orders which were packed using Assure are also not an exception here.  

RESOLUTION :  There is not much the Assure Support team can do in such a case. Please mark the order as "COMPLETE" from Assure OMS to bring the order to an end state. Please note that if the order was not PACKED using Assure but only PICKED, the inventory will be again released as Saleable Inventory.

Error from channel : Shipping details not available for order id : <order id>

During piece packing, when Assure requests the Marketplace for a shipment label of an order ( on Piece Packing Screen ), we may encounter this error. The most likely cause of this error is that Marketplace has not yet assigned a courier partner for this order or the shipment label generation is still under process. 

RESOLUTION :  Please retry after sometime to get a Shipment label ( normally in 15-30 seconds ). This should resolve in > 99% of the cases. If the issue persists, please create a SUPPORT Ticket.


Paytm Specific Errors


Error from Channel. Courier partner not assigned yet by the channel.

During piece packing, when Assure requests Paytm for a shipment label of an order, we may encounter this error ( on Piece Packing Screen ). The most likely cause of this error is that Paytm has not yet assigned a courier partner for this order. Hence, the shipment label cannot be generated. 

RESOLUTION :  Please retry after sometime to get a Shipment label. This should resolve in > 99% of the cases. If the issue persists, please create a SUPPORT Ticket and alternately contact your Paytm account manager.


This is a return order, not yet approved from channel

Paytm expects processing of replacement orders to be ONHOLD till the time return is picked up for the actual order placed by the customer, meanwhile it is also expected that the seller blocks  the inventory for such an order. However, these orders may be released for processing in Assure unknowingly. When such an order reaches the packing desk, this error is encountered. 

RESOLUTION : Normally you should not face this error as Assure intelligently blocks these orders from getting released for processing while making sure that the inventory is blocked for such an order. The order is automatically released for processing when the return item is picked up from the customer's place and Paytm provides the status update to process it further. However, if you feel the behaviour is different from what is mentioned, contact Assure Helpdesk.

417 Expectation Failed

This error occurs when Paytm is not able to generate invoice and shipping label at their end. Assure would throw  this error as this was not an expected response while trying to fetch the invoice and shipment label. 

RESOLUTION : Please retry at your end intermittently , once Paytm fixes such an issue  , it should get automatically resolved at Assure's end. You should not be able to fetch the invoice and shipping label from Paytm Seller Panel as well here, if this is not the case, please write to Assure Helpdesk. Normally, assure support would be escalating to Paytm team whenever such an issue occurs.



Flipkart Specific Errors :


Dimension not present for Shipment : 22193XXXX. 

This happens when you are trying to fetch shipment label ( on Piece Packing Screen ) in case of commodities such as books or products where one of the dimensions is very small ~ < 1 cm  . For such cases it has been observed that Flipkart throws an error while trying to fetch the shipment label for that order in Assure WMS > Piece packing screen. 

RESOLUTION :  We have tried handling this issue as part of Assure's WMS packing flow. However, if you end up encountering this error, please create a SUPPORT Ticket.


Error from Channel. Packing in Progress ...

This error is encountered on Piece Packing Screen when we request Flipkart for shipment label of the particular order but it is still not generated at Flipkart's end.RESOLUTION : This is resolved when you retry by pressing "Print Invoice and Shipping Label" button. You can also do a retry later by placing such items in a BIN. We should be able to resolve > 99% cases by doing the above. However, if this error does not go away, please create a SUPPORT Ticket. 


Manifest cannot be created for orderId : OD123245545433

This error is encountered on Manifests Screen when we try to close the manifest but order status have changed on Flipkart for one or more orders in the open manifest to a status which is non manifestable. The order(s) might have already been marked ready to dispatch/dispatched/cancelled.  

RESOLUTION : In such a case please mark the order as COMPLETE from Assure OMS ( Assuming the order is in Packed status in Assure WMS ) . 



Snapdeal Specific Errors : 


Error while getting credential from channel for channel : SNAPDEAL

This is an error thrown by Snapdeal and you might encounter this in Piece Packing, Manifests or Order Search Screen. We have yet not been able to decipher this error message from Snapdeal. 

RESOLUTION :  Generally this error resolves on its own when you retry the same process. However, if you end up encountering this error, please wait and retry after 30-60 minutes . Create a SUPPORT Ticket if the issue persists.


401 Unauthorized

This is an error thrown by Snapdeal and you might encounter this in Piece Packing, Manifests or Order Search Screen. We have yet not been able to decipher this error message from Snapdeal. 

RESOLUTION :  Generally this error resolves on its own when you retry the same process. However, if you end up encountering this error, please wait and retry after 30-60 minutes . Create a SUPPORT Ticket if the issue persists.


Manifest Error:- from 403 Forbidden

This is an error thrown by Snapdeal and you might encounter this in Manifests Screen. We have yet not been able to decipher this error message from Snapdeal.RESOLUTION :  Generally this error resolves on its own when you retry the same process. However, if you end up encountering this error, please wait and retry after 30-60 minutes . Create a SUPPORT Ticket if the issue persists.

Error occurred from:- 403 Forbidden

Tatacliq Specific Errors :


AWB No not generated on Tatacliq for Shipping Label Id :5304497 Message : ## AWBGenerationFailure : APEX COD Service not available

During piece packing, when Assure requests Tatacliq for a shipment label of an order, we may encounter this error ( on Piece Packing Screen ). The most likely cause of this error is that Tatacliq has not yet assigned a courier partner for this order. Hence, the shipment label cannot be generated. RESOLUTION :  Please retry after sometime ( ~ 1hr ) to get a Shipment label. This should resolve in > 99% of the cases. If the issue persists, please create a SUPPORT Ticket and alternately contact your Tatacliq account manager.
